Prior authorization should not be the longest part of a sleep study.

RoosterBeacon builds Prior Authorization Assistant for sleep programs in the United States. One product, one job: get a sleep study, a PAP device or a supply order approved on the first submission.

Built with sleep programs at

  • Cleveland Clinic Florida
  • Sleep Center of Georgia
  • Baylor Scott & White Sleep Institute
  • SGMC Health Sleep Center

Why this exists

Why this exists

A sleep study is ordered in minutes and waits weeks. In between, a coordinator reads the plan’s medical policy, finds the right form, copies findings out of the chart, writes a letter the physician has to sign, submits it through a portal or a fax queue, and then watches. If one requirement is missing, the whole thing comes back and the patient keeps waiting.

General-purpose authorization tools treat a polysomnography like any other procedure. They do not know that a titration study needs a prior diagnostic result, that a home study is contraindicated for some patients, or which plans want the Epworth score on the form. Sleep programs have been doing this work by hand because nothing was built for them.

Prior Authorization Assistant is that thing. It knows what each plan asks for each sleep study, fills the form, drafts the letter from the findings, checks the submission against the plan’s list, and keeps every case on one board.

The product

What we build

  1. Payer rules, kept current

Requirement lists for attended and home sleep studies, CPAP and BiPAP devices and supplies, maintained per plan and per state. When a plan changes its policy, the list changes with it.

  2. Letters and forms from the chart

Clinical findings become a medical necessity letter written the way reviewers approve, and a completed authorization form, in one pass. The physician signs. Nobody retypes.

  3. One board for every case

Approved, pending, waiting on documents, denied. Each case shows its age and its next action so nothing sits unnoticed in a queue.

Early access

How we work with programs

We are in early access. That means we build with a small number of sleep centers rather than for an imagined average one.

  • Sleep medicine only

We do not sell to cardiology or orthopedics. Every rule in the product is about sleep testing, PAP therapy and the supplies that follow, and that focus is the whole advantage.

  • No integration required

The assistant works beside any EHR from the first day. Integrations come when they are worth a clinic’s IT time, not before.

  • Built to HIPAA requirements

During early access, automation is developed and tested on de-identified data. Protected health information is handled only under a signed agreement with the clinic.

  • Honest about what is ready

Early-access partners see what works and what does not, shape the roadmap, and keep early-access pricing for the life of their account.
